Privacy Policy

What we collect

Your email address, so that sign-in links, account email, and any alerts you set up can be sent. Your watchlist and alert thresholds. If you subscribe, the payment metadata Stripe returns to us (customer and subscription identifiers, plan, billing dates). Full card numbers are never received or stored by MarketMiss; Stripe handles payment details under its own privacy policy. Server logs (IP address, user agent, request path) kept for security and abuse detection. Aggregate, anonymous per-page view counts on the blog.

What we do not collect

No passwords: sign-in uses single-use email links. No trading or venue account information: MarketMiss has no connection to your Kalshi or Polymarket accounts and never asks for them.

Analytics and error reporting

Product analytics through PostHog and error reporting through Sentry may be enabled. Analytics events describe which pages and features are used and are tied to your account identifier when you are signed in. Error reports are configured to exclude personally identifying information. The sign-in form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots; Turnstile processes limited technical data under Cloudflare's terms.

Third parties

Data is processed by the providers that run the service: Render (hosting), Neon (database), Stripe (billing), and an email delivery provider for sign-in links and alerts. Market and economic data comes from Kalshi, Polymarket, FRED, the Cleveland Fed inflation nowcast, and Atlanta Fed GDPNow; none of your data is sent to those sources. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Account data is kept while the account exists. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. Forecast and market snapshots are not personal data and are kept indefinitely as the public track record.

Deletion

Write to support@marketmiss.com from the account's email address, or use the feedback form, and the account and every row referencing it, including your watchlist, is removed. Payment-event records are de-linked from your identity rather than deleted, so the financial audit trail survives without carrying an identity. Any feedback you sent is kept without your email or account link.

Marketing email

Product-update email is opt-in, recorded with the time consent was given, and every message carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Transactional email (sign-in links, receipts, alerts you asked for) continues regardless.

Your rights and contact

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted by writing to support@marketmiss.com. MarketMiss is operated by an individual developer based in California, United States. If you are in a jurisdiction with a data protection authority, you may also complain to it.
